An exciting new chapter is beginning for one of Hardee County’s historic landmarks!
We are thrilled to announce that renovations are getting underway at the former Hardee High School building, which will be transformed into the new School Board of Hardee County District Office.
We’re calling this exciting transformation “The 1948 Project,” a tribute to the building’s history and the generations of Hardee County students and educators who have walked its halls.
This project is made possible through a special funding allocation from the Florida Legislature, and we are incredibly grateful for the investment in our school district and community.
There is something special about preserving a building that holds so many memories while giving it a renewed purpose for future generations. Rather than leaving this historic structure behind, we are bringing it back to life as a place where we will continue serving the students, families, and employees of Hardee County.
The building may have a new purpose, but its legacy will live on!
Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat!
